The mission of the Public Works Department is to provide a valued and well-maintained infrastructure, to deliver responsive, exceptional customer service and to ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic along city streets.
The Public Works Department is made up of the Streets and Drainage Division and the Parks Division. The two divisions offer several services, such as quality maintenance over all streets and sidewalk infrastructure, drainage systems, traffic control devices, parks, facilities, and fleet vehicles.

Call Before You Dig
811 is the national call-before-you-dig phone number. Anyone who plans to dig should call 811 or go to their state 811 center's website before digging to request that the approximate location of buried utilities be marked with paint or flags so that you don't unintentionally dig into an undeground utility line.
