    As required by Tax Code

    §26.05(b)(2)

“The City of Lake Dallas adopted a

tax rate that will raise more taxes

    for maintenance and operations

than last year’s tax rate.  The tax

rate will effectively be raised by

    5.7218 percent and will raise

    taxes for maintenance and

    operations on a $100,000 home

    by approximately $37.87.”

    * The City of Lake Dallas chose to

keep the same tax rate as last

    year of .701929/$100.  However,

    due to increased property values

    and additional properties added to

the tax roll, more revenue will be

realized than last year at this

    same rate.  The State’s required

    statement makes it sound as

    though the tax rate was

increased when in reality, it was

    not.
