Overview

Located next to the middle school and school district offices and on the corner of one of the primary intersections in Lake Dallas, City Park serves all of Lake Dallas and the surrounding area. Centrally located in the City, most of the homes in Lake Dallas are within a 1/2 mile of the park. The park is accessed easily by walking, bicycling and driving. There is a large shaded play area for children with slides, climbing bars, activity centers, stepping stones and picnic tables and benches for parents to watch and enjoy. This playground is safe for toddlers and older children.

 Park Improvements

The City of Lake Dallas was awarded a Texas Parks and Wildlife grant in the amount of $50,000 for improvements to the park. The Lake Dallas Community Development Corporation, Lake Cities Soccer Association, Waste Management, Allsup's, and the Boys and Girls Club of Denton County contributed additional donations for the construction of a concession stand complete with a pavilion, picnic tables and restrooms. Other improvements you'll find at this park include:

• An interactive and educational butterfly garden
• Additional lighting and sidewalks
• A new basketball court
• A renovated Veterans Memorial
• Horseshoe pits
