The City received the attached correspondence from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regarding the update to our community Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS). They have sent us preliminary copies of these for our review so that we can provide them with any comments within 30 days from the date of the letter. These documents impact the flood lines within our community, which in turn can affect the ability, or inability, to develop on property and the cost of obtaining flood insurance for homes and businesses.
