    Your child is invited to join Girls Who Code and start to journey of learning how to speak to computers and begin coding! While the name is "Girls Who Code," anyone is welcome to attend. This program is FREE and is best suited for students in 3rd through 5th grade. Steps to Sign Up: Step 1: Go to hq.girlswhocode.com and click Sign-Up (Select “United States”). Enter the child’s birth date and click “I want to join as a Club member” Step 2: Enter the child’s information and agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If your child does not have an email address they can use yours Step 3: Enter your information. You will receive an email with additional parent/guardian information Step 4: Click on Join Your Club and enter your student’s Club code.     Join us for stories and activities that encourage literacy and creativity! We provide opportunities for young children and their caregivers to talk, sing, read, write, and play together at the library so that caregivers understand their vital role in helping their children be prepared to start kindergarten. Storytime is an opportunity for preschool aged children and their parent, guardian, or caretaker to bond, work on print recognition, engage socially with their peers, and learn the fundamentals of language and reading. The goal of storytime is to ensure school readiness for pre-school aged children by working with parents and children to develop personal and social development, language and literacy, mathematical and scientific thinking, approach to learning, cognition and general knowledge, physical development and health, and an early appreciation of the arts and development of motor skills.

    Join us every Friday at 10:30 a.m. for Baby Bounce, an early literacy program for children 0 to 18 months old. This program provides caregivers with a bonding experience with their child in which they can both explore the basics of literacy in a fun and supportive environment. Staff leading baby bounce will implement “Every Child Ready to Read” ideas and practices, and parents will learn rhymes, stories, and activities that will encourage their little ones to master print recognition, letter knowledge, narrative skills, vocabulary skills, and phonological awareness.
