[ARCHIVED] Severe Weather Message

It is looking like we are in for a lot of heavy rain the next couple of days. The main concern will be flash flooding. Continue to be weather aware checking local media for weather updates before traveling and do not drive through flooded roads. "Turn Around Don't Drown". Be careful driving on I35E through the construction near Lake Lewisville, some areas could see high water.

@NWSFortWorth: The heavy rainfall & flooding threat expected to be maximized near the I-35 corridor thru Thurs. Those living near creeks and tributaries feeding the lake need to pay close attention to the water levels as they will likely exceed their banks.

Depending on the amount of rain fall, the lake level could also be an issue. We could see the lake rise to the same or greater levels than we saw with the last rain event. Please do not hesitate to call 911 for any emergency.

PLEASE SHARE.
