The Operations Division of the Lake Dallas Police Department houses a majority of the department's functions, such as the Patrol Section, Special Operations Section, and Training Unit. The Operations Division is commanded by a Lieutenant who oversees the daily activities of the sections and units housed within the division. Additionally, tasks such as hiring and recruiting, golf cart permit inspections, special events, and social media also fall under the functions of the division.
