Summer Programs

Tails and Tales - Summer Reading Program

Read and win!  Sign up through Read Squared by visiting lakedallas.readsquared.com or downloading the Read Squared app. There is a program for all ages, from newborn to adult. The summer kickoff party on June 5th begins a new summer of reading!

Summer Activities

Keep your mind active and have some fun this Summer at the library!  We have movies, STEM based activities, French songs, Teen activities, and weekly performers like Dinosaur Bo!  Follow the link above for a full list of Summer Programs.

Summer Meals

Free meals: Tuesday-Friday, 12 PM - 1:30 PM at the Lake Dallas Public Library.  Healthy meals for children ages 0-18.

Poetry and Art Contest

Enter for a chance to be in the upcoming Lake Dallas Poetry and Art Video.  Share your poetry, art, and photography for a chance to win!  Four age groups, from children to adults.

Build a Book Scavenger Contest

Join this scavenger hunt by signing up on Read Squared, choosing a list, and finding the items.  As a bonus, guess what book the items come from!

Wiggles & Giggles

Join us every Friday at 10:30 a.m. for Wiggles & Giggles, an early literacy program for children 0 to 24 months old.

1000 Books

1000 Books Before Kindergarten is an early literacy program open to any child from newborn to kindergarten aged.

K-5 grade; fun activities and crafts that are themed around Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math!

French Songs & Stories

Ages 4-10; learn a bit of French language and culture through French songs and stories!

Teen Programs

French Conversation

Get together to speak French on a themed topic.  For teens and adults; all French levels from total beginner to native speaker or anything in-between are welcome.
