How many consecutive nights can we stay?

Campers may stay up to 14 nights in any 30-day period.

What is the cost for camping at Willow Grove Park?

Primitive sites are $11 per night.  RV sites with water and electric are $20 per night with a refundable key deposit of $15.

Is electricity available?

Yes. 20, 30 or 50 AMP electricity is available at RV sites.

Does this park allow campfires?

Yes.  However, only on days that have been declared 'Burn Days' by Denton County.  To find out if today has been declared a "Burn Day", please click here.  The gathering of firewood in the park is prohibited and campfires shall be confined to the grill or fire ring provided at each site.  Fires shall not be left unattended and should be completely extinguished when left unattended.

Is there a dump station available?

Yes. An approved dump station is located in City Park 6/10ths of one mile west of Willow Grove Park on Hundley Drive and is available for our campers only. Open dumping of gray or black water is strictly prohibited in the park. All wastewater shall be kept in appropriate holding tanks while in the park.

Are there public bathrooms and showers available?

Two portable restrooms are on-site. A new showerhouse is scheduled for construction in late 2011.

Are pets allowed in the park?

Yes; however, they must be on a leash

Is alcohol permitted?

Alcohol is only permitted on your personal picnic or campsite.  Open consumption of any alcoholic beverage, especially within 15 feet of a roadway, is strictly prohibited.

Can we have glass containers?

No. Glass containers are prohibited. 

How late can unregistered guests remain at the park?

Unregistered guests must leave the park by midnight.

Do you allow fishing at the park?

Yes, fishing is allowed for those who have a fishing license, but you must obtain a primitive camping permit. 

Does the City sell Fishing Licenses?

The City of Lake Dallas does not sell fishing licenses.  These must be purchased online through the Texas Parks & Wildlife website or a local store (listed below).  Click here to purchase a license online with Texas Parks & Wildlife.

Is there a boat ramp to launch boats?

Yes, a privately owned boat ramp is available for launching boats, but a permit from Lakeview Marina is required (the City and Lakeview Marina are not affiliated).  Permits are available from Lakeview Marina located on Marina Drive adjacent to Willow Grove Park from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Mondays through Saturdays.  The current permit fee is $10.00.  The use of the boat ramp without a permit is strictly prohibited and a violation of law.  Boat trailers must be parked within the park and not on marina property.

What size trailer can a site accommodate?

Sites can accommodate up to a 40' trailer.

What types of payment do you accept?

For reservations, Willow Grove park accepts online payments, cash, credit cards, or checks with a Texas address.

The Lake Dallas Police Department enforces Willow Grove Park's rules and regulations including after-hours noise, loud parties and/or unruliness.
