The Lake Dallas Economic Development Corporation is giving away $1,000 cash to one lucky person who has shopped or dined locally this Holiday Season! All you have to do is make a purchase at one of these 19 participating Shop Lake Dallas businesses then fill out the entry form and put it in the Shop Lake Dallas bag. The $1,000 drawing will take place at the Holiday Lighting Celebration on Dec. 5th. Must be present to claim your prize money!

Join us for the annual Holiday Tree lighting celebration on Saturday, Dec. 5th from 5-9 p.m. This free event features live local entertainment by The Singing Falcons and headlining country sensation the Rayla Ray Band! Kid's can enjoy free Holiday Crafts and refreshment in the Community Room. A free horse-drawn carriage ride will take event attendees down Main St. to enjoy the Main St. Stroll and the sights of all the white Christmas lights lining Main St! Santa will make his grand entrance to countdown the lighting of the City Christmas Tree then take pictures with the kids! All Free! The Main St. Stroll will feature exhibitors and business who may have the perfect Holiday gift for someone on your list!

Lake Dallas Main Street is transformed into Denton County’s only Mardi Gras Celebration on Fat Tuesday. A Mardi Gras parade travels through downtown and the Lake Dallas City Hall parking lot features a New Orleans style party with authentic Cajun food, live music from the N’Awlins Gumbo Kings, and a kidzone featuring pony rides, a giant inflatable obstacle course and slide, rock climbing wall, face painting, balloon sculpting and more! There are also contests for kids and adults alike for cash prizes! Businesses on Main Street area also open for the event.
LAKE CITIES 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
Saturday, July 3rd, from 9 am – 10 pm, City Park of Lake Dallas is filled with free 4th of July festivities! Festivities include an old-fashioned parade, kid’s games, a giant water slide, inflatables, contests, great food, art/craft booths and live entertainment. The 4th annual Lake Cities Idol Competition will also take place! Eleven Hundred Springs is the headliner band for the 4th consecutive year and after they finish, a spectacular fireworks show tops off the celebration.
Waterfest at Willow Grove Park is a weekend filled with free kid’s activities, live entertainment, outdoor recreation activities & exhibitors, the SuperCourse Nationals Jet Ski Racing Competition, contests, live bands and great vendors! Ridin’ Rails professional wakeboarders also put on a great show and offer free lessons.
Family-friendly games, prizes, candy, and hay rides through downtown Lake Dallas are all open to trick-or-treaters on Oct. 29th from 4-6 pm at Lake Dallas City Hall. During this same time, numerous local businesses in Lake Dallas and some set up at City Hall give kids a safe option for gathering candy on Halloween.
Each year at Lake Dallas City Hall, the holidays are celebrated with the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas Tree, live music, kid’s crafts and free pictures with Santa. This family-friendly event also features the Main St. Stroll. Event Attendees are invited to take a stroll down Main St. and enjoy treats from Main St. businesses while they decide which business or booth displays the holiday spirit the best and deserves their vote!
