How do I set up a new account?

In order to set up an account, you must come in to our office Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.  You must have a picture ID, complete the paperwork and pay the set up fee.  The set up fee and first three months of service is $55.00, which is due when setting up your account.  If you are 65 years of age or older, ask about our Senior Discount.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, money order, cashiers check, personal check, Visa or MasterCard.  Please note there is a 3% fee added to all credit and debit transactions.  You may also sign up for the Electronic Bank Drafting Service.  Click here to view and print the form.

Do you accept credit card payments online or by phone?

Yes. We accept Visa & Mastercard payments by phone and online.  Please note that when paying online you must know the balance due on your account. Please click here to make your payment online

Who do I make my money order or check payable to?

Please make all money orders and checks payable to the City of Lake Dallas. 

Where are you located?

We are located in the Municipal Complex at 212 Main Street, Lake Dallas, TX 75065.

Do you have an after hours drop?

Yes.  It is located inside City Hall on the wall to the right of the Code Enforcement window.  The doors are open 24 hours a day.

I don't recycle -- can you remove the charge from my bill?

No.  The monthly amount is a flat fee. Solid waste and recycling weekly collection are included in that fee, so it is not something that can be removed to reduce your monthly service rate. It is in everyone's benefit to recycle as much as possible.  The longer the landfill that is currently being used does not fill up, the lower rates will be for everyone.

How do I dispose of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)?

You may now dispose of most household hazardous waste through the new HHW curb-side collection program.  Click here for details.

My cart was broken today. Can I get a replacement?

Please contact us and choose the option 'cart replacement'  from the drop down menu or you may call us at (940) 497-2226 Option 5

When will my cart be replaced?

Cart replacements are completed on Mondays after the trash and recyclable items have been collected and the carts are empty.  Please leave the broken cart at the curb and it will be picked up by someone from Public Works and a replacement will be left.

May I take additional trash to the landfill?

Yes. However, only additional residential trash and you must obtain a voucher from City Hall.  Click here for more information including directions to the landfill.
