American Legion Post #88

The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, mutual-help, war-time veteran’s organization. This community-service organization now numbers nearly 3 million members, both men and women, in nearly 15,000 American Legion Posts worldwide. The Lake Dallas American Legion associates itself together for many purposes including upholding and defending the U.S. Constitution, maintaining law and order, preserving the memories and incidents of our associations in the Great Wars, and instilling a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation. The Lake Dallas American Legion Post 88 meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the address below.

Lake Cities Library

The Lake Cities Library has proudly served the residents of Corinth, Hickory Creek, Lake Dallas, Shady Shores and Denton County since 1975.  Though it appears to be the same on the outside, the Lake Cities Library has recently undergone total renovation. The interior has doubled in size to 5,000 square feet, and its collection of resources expands in sync with the Lake Cities population growth. In addition to traditional services, the library is a place to send faxes, make photocopies, use the internet, check out DVDs or audio-books, update your resume, prepare for a meeting, or use Notary Public services. Storytime, ESL classes, Internet for Beginners classes, and other programs and workshops are held regularly. A complete schedule is available at the Lake Cities Library website. The library is open Tuesday through Saturday; call for specific hours.
