Memories from the 2013 Mardi Gras event...

The Nawlin’s Gumbo Kings will be the headline evening entertainment with their New Orleans style of jazz that’s a local favorite to cut loose and enjoy. “The Gumbo Kings call Lake Dallas their birthplace and we always look forward to their homecoming on Fat Tuesday,” said Julie Chapman with the City of Lake Dallas. Lake Dallas’ own Steve Howard is a Lake Dallas High School alumni and world-renowned trumpeter. Gumbo Kings have music industry resumes that include work with legends such as Paul McCartney, Ray Charles, Ellis Marsalis, Rosemary Clooney, and the Dukes of Dixieland.
