NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month. NaNoWriMo is a month-long event in November when writers from all over the world challenge themselves to write a 50,000-word novel in one month. Are you up for the challenge?

How do I participate?
Come to the Lake Dallas Public Library on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30pm.
Make a plan:
What genre will my novel be?
Who is the target audience of my novel?
What will my novel be called?
What are my characters’ names?
How old are my characters?
Develop a plot outline.
How many words am I aiming for?
50,000 words ≈ 100 pages
100,000 words ≈ 200 pages
How many words will I write per day? Per week?
Set aside at least one day per week to edit what you have already written.
