Lake Cities Recycles & Trash Off

The Lake Cities have partnered up to host multiple recycling and Trash-Off events on November 14.

This year, the cities of Corinth, Shady Shores, and Lake Dallas are hosting E-Waste Collection, Document Shredding, Tire Disposal, and Trash-Off Events. 

These services and programs are open to the residents of the Lake Cities. Tire Disposal at Shady Shores is for Denton County residents only - no businesses allowed. See the information below regarding locations, times, and any other guidelines.

Safely dispose of unwanted junk that is cluttering up your home, garage or yard. Just present a valid driver’s license or utility bill to show that you are a Lake Dallas resident (no businesses please). Hazardous household waste and construction materials are not permitted.  

Acceptable Items

  • Automotive batteries
  • Fences
  • Furniture
  • Household waste
  • Motor oil
  • Refrigerators, air conditioners and freezers, with their Freon removed by a certified HVAC technician and tagged
  • Tree limbs, brush and yard clippings
  • Washers, dryers, stoves, cook tops, and microwaves

  • Animal carcasses
  • Hazardous Waste (PDF)
  • Lawn and hazardous chemicals
  • Paint
  • Pesticides
  • Tires
  • Televisions and Computers
  • Construction Materials

Handicapped & Senior Assistance

Senior citizens and people with disabilities can call Public Works at 940-497-4484 the week prior to the event to arrange for a special pick up.
